Raft on the Jordan River

A fun and refreshing activity where you’ll get to enjoy the ‘mighty’ Jordan River and all of its splendor You’ll raft along the southern portion, through the Bethsaida Valley–all along the same fresh water sources that attracted the fisherman 2000 years ago–amongst them Peter, James, John, Andrew & Philip, who all according to history were from the town of Bethsaida, nearby. 

Getting Prepared: Suitable for most; 2.5 hours; mid morning and afternoon departures; bring water sandals, water bottle, towel and change of clothing; life-jacket required. Pre-Registration required.

Join an Archeological Dig!

 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!… (Luke 10:13). The words of Jesus will ring in your ears, as you excavate through the ruins of the 1st century city.

Are you ready for an adventure? Because this is real, in-the-ground, getting-dirty kind of archaeology, where you’ll be helping archaeologists unearth the ancient past and making actual discoveries that will help shed light on this ruined, biblical city of Chorazin.

The archaeologists will also provide a tour and overview of the recent excavations and its impact on ‘biblical archaeology.’

Getting Prepared: Suitable for most; 3 hours; morning (8am) departure; bring long pants, closed toe shoes, hat, towel, water bottle, sunscreen. Pre-Registration required.

Hike the "Jesus Trail"

Ready to take a ‘real’ walk in the footsteps of Jesus and the disciples?

In this activity, you’ll hike a portion of the “Jesus Trail,” that takes hikers via the most historical and logical route from Nazareth to Capernaum. Along the way, your expert guide will share facts about the land, the fauna and the archaeology sites you’ll encounter while hiking the same terrain Jesus traversed in his day.

Getting Prepared: Suitable for most ages; 3 hours; morning departure; wear close-toed shoes, 1.5 liter water bottle and your camera. Pre-Registration required.

Attend Ancient-Galilee Arts & Crafts Workshops

Learn Ancient-Galilee Traditions from local artists, using local materials and traditional techniques from our hands-on workshops such as Pottery, Mosaics, Galilean Cosmetics, Weaving and Ancient Dying techniques. 

Each workshop will have its own unique way to connect you to both the ancient and traditional world as described in the Bible!

Getting Prepared: Suitable for all ages; 1 hour; open from 10am-6pm; ; located on-site in the Gallelujah Village area (near the lobby); bring a water bottle, hat and your camera. 

SING in the Gallelujah Choir

You can join the Gallelujah Choir, led by our extraordinary Galilean conductor, who will teach you a Hebrew hymn that you’ll perform (on live stage) along with others on the final Gallelujah Festival night. 

Getting Prepared: Choir practices will be held from 14:30-16:00 each day during the Festival. Pre-registration required.

Walk & Wade the "Majrase"

One thing’s for sure: you will get soaked on this nearby walk/hike known as ‘the Majrase.’ The area is in the Bethsaida Valley, an estuary formed by streams from the Golan that make their way to the Sea of Galilee.

During your adventure, you’ll enjoy ‘waist-deep’ the real, natural terrain and fauna that existed near the biblical towns of Bethsaida and Capernaum–a real maze of scenic splendor!

Take a Jeep Tour

Get ready for a fun-and-bumpy ride across the Galilean landscape in private, off-road Jeeps.

FIRE-UP the Pavement with an On-Road Motorcycle

Join a group of fellow Riders along the fantastic riding roads of Northern Israel. Our loop-journey starts from the Golan Heights in the East, goes to the Mediterranean coast in the West, with scenic riding routes back to our home base!

Together, we’ll crisscross the entire width of the northern part of the country with the stunning views of the Syrian and Lebanese borders along the way.

Hike the Yehudiya (Golan)

Here’s a chance to enjoy some spectacular nature while hiking along flowing waterfalls and streams that flow from the Golan Heights to the Sea of Galilee basin. 

The area is an important habitat for wildlife, including large mammals (deer, wild boar, wolves) and raptors (especially vultures). The hike includes both dry segments and wet segments!

Getting Prepared: Suitable for most; 4 hours; departs at 8am; wear clothing you can get wet in, water sandals, water bottle, sunscreen & towel. Pre-Registration required.

Horseback across the Galilee

Sometimes taking “the road less traveled” can be the most enjoyable one.

In this Gallelujah activity, you’ll go horseback riding with local, Israeli ‘cowboys.’

Your ‘home on the range’ for this horseback riding adventure will take you along rugged paths and across the ancient biblical landscape of the Galilee

By the way, did you know that disciple Philip’s name actually means ‘One who loves horses’?

Getting Prepared: Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required.

You really haven’t been on vacation until you’ve treated yourself to a relaxing massage.

A variety of massage types will be offered by local, expert Galilean masseuses who will undoubtedly bring their own ‘healing’ touch to you.

Note: A good massage with proper aromatic treatment can also help you get over some of the jet-lag that you might still have.
